Kiran Kanekal, PhD

Research Scientist

Kiran obtained his Ph.D. at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research, where he focused on developing new methods for exploring the vast chemical compound space utilizing traditional physics-based coarse-graining techniques. Along the way, he gained a diverse set of skills that allowed him to construct automated pipelines for high-throughput data generation and analysis, as well as a familiarity with both supervised and unsupervised machine learning approaches. Fun fact: Kiran has been training as a North Indian Classical vocalist for most of his life and has performed at several venues across the U.S.
