John Ketcham, PhD

Senior Director of Chemistry

John is a passionate medicinal chemist who has spent his industrial career focused on discovering orally bioavailable small molecule therapies in the fields of targeted oncology and immuno-oncology (IO). As a project team leader and team member, he has helped move several compounds into clinical trials and IND-enabling studies and clinical trials including RPT193, FLX475, MRTX0902, MRTX1719 and MRTX7070. Throughout his career, John has been listed as an inventor on >20 patent applications and a co-author of 20 scientific publications, having moved through roles of increasing responsibility at FLX Bio/RAPT Therapeutics and Mirati Therapeutics.

John graduated from the University of Central Florida with a BS in chemistry and then obtained his PhD in organic chemistry at the University of Florida working with Aaron Aponick. After his doctoral studies with Michael J. Krische at the University of Texas, Austin, John began his industrial career. In his spare time, John enjoys fishing, hiking, playing guitar, and spending time with his family.
